Paramount Delays The Ring Sequel Into 2016

Paramount Pictures have delayed Rings, the second sequel to the 2002 horror hit The Ring from it’s scheduled November 13, 2015 premiere date into 2016. Directed by F. Javier Gutierrez (Tres dias, Diminutos del calvario) the film will take place thirteen years after the first movie, which itself was an adaptation of the 1998 Japanese horror film Ringu, and chronicled the story of a woman and her young son who discover a cursed VHS tape that enables the ghost of a psychic girl to terrorize people after they watch it.

Rings stars Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory, I Know What You Did Last Summer), Aimee Teegarden (Scream 4, Friday Night Lights), Laura Wiggins (Shameless, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), Alex Roe (The Fugitives, The 5th Wave) and Zach Roerig (Guiding Light, The Vampire Diaries). No new premiere date has been set.
