Adele said “Hello” to fans and stayed on the top of the iTunes charts for FIVE weeks, but this week she’s been bumped out of her spot!
During Monday night’s episode of The Voice, Jordan Smith performed a soulful, rock and roll classic tune, Somebody To Love. He wowed the crowd, he wowed the judges and he certainly wowed the viewers. Within half an hour of the episode ending, he had managed to bump Adele out of her No.1 spot on the iTunes chart. You heard right…Adele!
The 21-year-old may not have won The Voice yet, but this is certainly an accomplishment to be proud of. An accomplishment that speaks for itself. His coach, Adam Levine said:
“I don’t need to say anything at all because that’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen in my entire life.”
In a recent interview with People magazine, Smith also praised his coach. He said:
“He is super involved as a coach, That’s not an act. He was just talking to us about our next song choices and takes the time to listen through songs and find the right fit for us.”
According to Smith, the networking and relationships he has built during the competition will make the whole experience worthwhile – even if he loses. He told People:
“We have grown close. I’d be thrilled to win myself, but just as thrilled for one of these ladies or anyone on any of the other teams to win. I think this is a great opportunity and everyone here is deserving of it.”
