Sorry ladies. Usher is officially a married man!
After months of speculation, and seeing an image of Usher sporting a gold band on his finger, the 37-year-old singer confirmed that he is indeed married during an interview airing on Friday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
DeGeneres congratulated Usher on his wedding to fiancee Grace Miguel. “Congratulations to you–he got married!” she said.
He replied with a thank you. “In Cuba–it was really great,” he said.
DeGeneres tried to clarify what happened on their September vacation by asking, “Did you get married here and then go to Cuba for your honeymoon?” The couple was in Cuba.
Usher had kept his secret wedding very hush hush until now. Wedding rumors have been swirling around the Don’t Look Down and his new wife for a while, but they really picked up when when singer Miguel posted a photo from their trip to Cuba, ABC News reported.
In the photo, Usher is seen wearing a gold ring on his fourth finger. “You know what’s funny? We put this picture up and we were actually just in Cuba on a cultural exchange and people were like, ‘Hey, they got married,'” Usher said. “But you know, the ring is on the other finger, you guys. But we had a great time. [Grace is a] wonderful woman.”
DeGeneres also asked about Usher’s new music, because we all want to hear more (duh). He joked that his music is “buffering,” but that it will be out next year.
She continued by discussing his new Master Class (like the ones that celebrities like Oprah and Dustin Hoffman have). Usher’s is a series of classes that focuses on several aspects of entertainment, the transition from entertainment from acting, on Broadway, along with life advice.
“It’s really going to be an incredible experience,” Usher said.
