Basic cable network TNT has revealed the dates that its hit crime shows will return to the airwaves in early 2016.
Major Crimes will return to finish out its 23-episode season four run on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). A spin off of the network’s long running procedural The Closer, Major Crimes was created by Primetime Emmy Award nominee James Duff (The Closer, The Agency) and stars two-time Academy Award nominee Mary McDonnell (Battlestar Galactica, Independence Day), G.W. Bailey (The Closer, Police Academy: Mission to Moscow), Tony Denison (The Closer, Atlus Shrugged: Part III), Michael Paul Chan (The Closer, Arrested Development), Raymond Cruz (Alien: Resurrection, From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money), Kearran Giovani (One Life to Live, Beauty and the Beast), Philip P. Keene (The Closer, I Am Death), Graham Patrick Martin (Two and a Half Men, The Bill Engvall Show), Jonathan Del Arco (The Closer, Dollhouse) and Robert Gossett (The Closer, Batman Returns).
The next day, Tuesday, February 16, 2016, Rizzoli & Isles will begin its 13-episode sixth season with two back to back episodes starting at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). Developed by Primetime Emmy Award nominee Janet Tamaro (Bones, Lost) and based on Tess Gerritsen’s book series of the same name, Rizzoli & Isles stars Angie Harmon (Law and Order, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker), Sasha Alexander (NCIS, Mission Impossible III), Jordan Bridges (Show Me a Hero, Phantom), Bruce McGill (Run All Night, Law Abiding Citizen), Academy Award nominee Lorraine Bracco (Goodfellas, The Sopranos) and Idara Victor (Turn, Grey’s Anatomy).
