The Alamo Has A New Cat

The Alamo has a new official cat. On Thursday, the Texas General Land Office announced that the calico kitty, Miss Isabella Francisca Veramendi de Valero, is the new official Alamo Cat, but you can call her Bella for short.

Bella comes after the last cat, legendary Mistress Clara Carmack, or CC, having died last year. Bella was found roaming the grounds of the Presidio la Bahia in Goliad and was brought to the Alamo. She now sports a tag that says, “I Belong At The Alamo” and plays with employees and around cannons. While staff members pay her expenses, Bella lives the life of luxury at the Alamo.
