Telltale’s ‘Game of Thrones’ Gets Finale Date

The sixth and final episode of Telltale Game’s episodic adventure series Game of Thrones, based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book series and the smash hit HBO adaptation, finally has a release date. The finale, titled The Ice Dragon, will be available for download worldwide on Nov. 17, 2015, almost a full year after the game’s debut on Dec. 2, 2014.

On the same day, Telltale will also release a disc based version of the game at retail stores. To give new players a taste of what to expect, the first episode: Iron From Ice, is currently free to download across all platforms.

The game, which has received a consistently positive reception across its run, focuses on a new family of characters called House Forrester, a family referenced in the books. The storyline, which follows five playable characters from the family, takes place between the end of the third season of the television series to the beginning of the fifth season.

The game features the voice and likenesses of numerous actors from the TV show including two-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee Lena Headey (300: Rise of an Empire, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), Natalie Dormer (The Tudors, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1), Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage (X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian), Iwan Rheon (Vicious, Misfits), Kit Harington (How to Train Your Dragon 2, Spooks: The Greater Good) and two-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee Emilia Clarke (Terminator: Genisys, Futurama).
