Upcoming traditional role playing game Sword Coast Legends has been delayed from it’s initial September 29, 2015 release to an October 20, 2015 release for the PC. The game, which takes place in the Forgotten Realms setting of Dungeons and Dragons, is also coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. These console ports were originally scheduled for release late this year but the delay has hit them as well, knocking the release window back to the first calendar quarter of 2016 (January – March).
The game is intended as a throwback to classic role playing games like Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights (both also based on Dungeons and Dragons settings) and it features a traditional isometric viewpoint as well as a multiplayer mode. The game will also allow players to play the dungeon master role from traditional Dungeons and Dragons games in multiplayer which could be quite interesting if done correctly.
