After crowning the wrong winner at the 2015 Miss Universe pageant, Steve Harvey took to Twitter to try and get some of his fans back on his side. Following his public apologies and displays of remorse on national television, Harvey posted a funny photo on Twitter mocking himself.
The image shows Harvey flashing a peace sign with a cigar in his mouth. The caption reads, “Merry Easter y’all!”
Of course, Harvey’s tweet wasn’t totally off. He still used Christmas tree emojis, probably to ensure that he was in on the joke.

Maybe he gained a little bit of respect back today, or people are really full of Christmas spirit! Nevertheless, Harvey’s “Happy Easter” tweet received 160,000 likes and 170,000 retweets in only six hours, according to NBC News.
If you can’t beat em, join em. Right?
In case you haven’t heard, Harvey announced Ariadna Gutierrez-Arevalo of Colombia as the winner instead of Pia Alonzo Wurztbach of the Philippines. It made for some painfully awkward TV and went viral (to no surprise).
Harvey has apologized multiple times, including one apology in which he misspelled Colombia and Philippines. His initial mix-up, along with that one, lead to piles of jokes and criticism made on Harvey’s behalf online, while others defended him.
GOP presidential candidate and former Miss Universe owner Donald Trump said, “Steve Harvey is a great guy.” He added that “things happen, it’s live television.”
