Following up on our earlier piece, Microsoft subdivision Skype has announced that it has identified the glitch that earlier prevented users (on an international scale) from making VOIP calls and accessing specific features.
As well as not declaring how many of the 300 million active users of the service have been affected; the company is keeping the precise reason for the downtime out of the press. However Skype has said it is in the process of restoring full functionality to its users. Interestingly the company has also said those using the ‘Skype for business’ service were not in any way affected by the anomaly.
An earlier tweet by Skype reads “We’re pleased to say we’ve found and are now rectifying the Skype problem you may have had today.” and that the latest information will be available at this web address.
