Sacred Israeli Church Attacked

The Church of Multiplication at Tabgha was damaged overnight in a suspected arson attack. The shrine in northern Israel where Christians believe Jesus fed the 5,000 in the miracle of the five loaves and two fish was attacked, and sixteen Jewish suspects were detained on Thursday briefly.

The Israeli President Reuven Rivlin called the incident a “terrible desecration of an ancient and holy place of prayer.”
