Police Thoughts Before Deadly Shooting

The police force can be a deadly job when it comes down to the most intense parts. There are split decisions that must be made that can cause people to die or become critically injured.

During a recent robbery, officers were called to the scene and were presented with a hard decision. The robbery was over a motorbike, and the owner of the motorbike was putting his hands up meaning he had no weapons and meant no harm. However the officer cannot take chances like that. The officer thought that the man may have been pulling out a weapon, and they shot him.

There were many mistakes made in this case. First off, this actually was not a robbery at all. One of the officers who sent another policeman to the scene mistakenly reported it as a robbery. I am deeply sorry for the family and their loss. The officers should have been much more careful with their annunciations.
