After expressing her disgust for a viral Halloween costume, many people are giving the popular female rapper props.
DJ Clue is the co-founder of Desert Storm Records and is also a radio DJ. On Saturday, he posted the controversial image of a Bill Cosby Halloween costume. The image showed a man dressed as Cosby, dragging a woman around with a cocktail as he puts drugs in her drink. DJ Clue captioned the post with:
“This gotta stop #PillCosby.”
Cosby, 78, has been accused of drugging/sexually assaulting over fifty women from as far back as the 1960s. Although he has never been charged for any crimes, the allegations are known worldwide.
While this isn’t the first time Cosby has been made the butt of jokes, Minaj and others are sick of hearing people reference the alleged real-life victims with such a blasé tone. She shared DJ Clue’s image on Instagram and wrote:
“Our generation is so desensitized.”
Minaj’s fans were in total agreement. Comments on her post stated that the costume was disgusting, insensitive, outrageous and obnoxious.
Minaj has not responded to requests for comments, but I think her post speaks loud and clear.
