Last week, Keith Borum and Nina Scott were wed at the Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, New York. Keith had recently found out his cancer was terminal and began to plan the details with his nurses to wed his girlfriend of three years.
The ceremony was beautiful, brought together by the efforts and funds of nurses and the community. The ring itself was $400. Treats were arranged by the staff, and other arrangements by the community.
The beautiful couple weren’t a tragedy but a shining beam of love and happiness. The nurses all squished into the room with their medical gowns to watch the emotional ceremony.
Keith described it as the best day of his life.
