Man Who Decapitates Grandmother Found Not Guilty

On Tuesday, Nicholas Salvador, 25, was found not guilty for beheading a great-grandmother outside of her North London home on the grounds of insanity.

On September 4th, 2014, Nicholas Salvador had been living in an Edmonton neighborhood in North London when he suddenly went on a random attack and beheaded 82 year old Palmira Silva in her home and then began smashing through fences during a forty five minute rampage while helicopter cameras caught it all.

Salvador had to be tasered six times by police officers after killing Silva. Reportedly, he thought that he was killing demons and shape-shifters. Prior to reaching Silva’s home, he also reportedly decapitated two cats belonging to the family he had been staying with because he thought they were demons.

Prosecutors and defense lawyers in the case both accept the advice of psychiatrists that Salvador was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia.
