When tourists visit Times Square in New York City they expect to see people in costumes, bad impressions and have lots of opportunities for photos. The last thing they’d expect to encounter is the Oscar-winning actress, Julianne Moore!
But Billy Eichner, from Billy On The Street, somehow managed to convince the Still Alice star to roam the streets with him and act for change!
On Thursday’s episode, viewers got to see Moore recite (live) different lines from some of her most well-known roles. Without any hesitation she gave each performance everything she had.
She broke down in tears while saying lines from The Kids Are All Right, showed her angry side while reciting lines from Magnolia and put on an accent for a few lines from The Big Lebowski. She even cried on cue for one confused and unsuspecting tourist!
Billy pulled the tourist away from Cookie Monster and offered him a crying Julianne Moore instead. English was obviously not his first language as he responded with “famous woman?” before attempting to console her.
So how on Earth did Eichner manage to get Moore to participate in his shenanigans? He told Entertainment Tonight all he had to do was ask. He said:
“She followed me for some reason, we were chatting back and forth on Twitter, and I just DMed her. She had literally just won the Oscar [for Still Alice] and I was like, ‘There’s no way you’re going to do this, but we’re about to film Billy on the Street. Would love to have you on the show. I don’t even know if you know what it is, but here you go.’ And she wrote back an hour later and she was like, ‘Yeah, where do we do it? I love it.’”
Eichner wasn’t past recognizing the uniqueness of the situation. On Monday he took to Twitter to give Moore a proper shout out.

And Julianne Moore, being the humble and gracious lady that she is, tweeted back to Billy.
What? Oh Billy, the pleasure was all mine. https://t.co/7XhcFSsieB
