There comes a time in most people’s lives where they decide that they want a change. They may look at their bank account and realize that they want more money, they may look in the mirror and decide they want to gym, or they may even look into their significant other’s eyes and decide that what they have is not for them any more.
Rumors have it that Iggy Azalea has done some surgical work on her face, and she is receiving a lot of criticism for it. There are a few things to consider here. Firstly, no one actually knows except for her if she actually did have any work done on her face, it very well could have been a make up job that everyone does not like. Second, she was also rather open about her getting work done on her breasts a few months ago, so I do not see why she would hide if she had work done on her face or not.
Personally, I don’t mind people getting plastic surgery, or wanting to change their image, its ultimately their choice. Some on twitter claim that they liked the artist’s face before whatever was done, that she should have never done it and that she looks ugly now, and this is one of the kinds of comments that irritates me to a great degree. For those who have forgotten, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I understand that people may not like what Iggy has done, but why not leave it there? do they have insult her? I usually would not write about something like this, but I realize that I have dealt with something similar with all of my years in the gym now. Since setting foot in the gym, I have grown quite a bit, and I have had some people say that they do not know what I was thinking keeping it up for this long. At the end of the day, changes like these are made for the person who wants them, not the audience watching, unless the person making the change specifies such. In that case, then I have no sympathy for them. Changing your image because someone else or a group of people want you to is simply not a good reason in my opinion. What I am trying to say is, if you do not like what someone does with their image, respectfully say so and why and leave it at that. Think about how you would feel if you were all over the internet and people were insulting you day in and day out, putting pictures of animals beside you as if they were supposed to look similar, like some of these people are doing to Iggy Azalea. Its Disgusting. Iggy may put on an act which leads you to believe that she is not affected, but I believe she must have taken it at least a little bit personally, and that is probably the last thing she needs when she is constantly getting on stage in front of a live audience with hundreds of thousands of people.
