Fowler’s Post Win Kiss a Hole-in-One

Rickie Fowler’s career was on the decline, his relevance in the golf industry being questioned over the last few months. After failing to make the top of the leaderboard in recent tournaments, his career was beginning to stall. A Sports Illustrated poll recently rated Fowler one of the most overrated players in the PGA. However, with his win at The Players Championship this weekend, Fowler is suddenly relevant again, but not for reasons you may think.

Following his 1.8 million dollar win at The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fowler celebrated by sharing a passionate kiss with model girlfriend Alexis Randock. The pair put on quite a show for cameras and fans. From the kiss, it’s clear the two have chemistry. It’s being talked about on Twitter, written about in news articles (take this article, for example), and to be frank, it’s making more headlines than his win at the tournament.

Golf, a sport known for its etiquette and class, is not used to public displays of affection such as Fowler’s. Some are shaking their heads, but most are embracing this. As one of his career highlights, this win for Fowler is well deserving of a celebration, and this kiss seems like a great way to do just that.

Let’s not forget the performance Fowler gave on the course, either. Although the kiss is the talk of the town, Fowler’s game was on par today. Actually, it was even better than par; it has to be, to win The Players Championship. After a slow start to the tournament, Fowler found his game on the back nine on Sunday. Ending out his last four holes with a birdie-eagle-birdie-birdie, Fowler cinched the title and a huge pay cheque. More importantly, he put all the naysayers to shame; and that kiss wasn’t too shabby either.
