Well, ladies and gentlemen, yesterday was the first official day of fall!
It’s mid-September and we all have a bittersweet pill to swallow. We’re entering the most beautiful season of all, autumn but it also means we’re one step closer to Winter! No more sweltering hot days, but soon enough we’ll be wishing the heat was back.
Until then, let’s enjoy the fall colors, the pumpkin spice foods and the endless leaves to rake up! Because we’re in fall, people! In all it’s perfect sweater weather glory!
Yesterday was also the autumnal equinox. At 4:21am Eastern time in the Northern hemisphere. It happens only twice a year, in March and in September and it means that day and night are equal length! This happens because the sun shines right on the equator.
Do break out your cute hoodies and mug cosies and get ready for the beautiful fall ahead of us!
“I was drinking in the surroundings: air so crisp you could snap it with your fingers and greens in every lush shade imaginable offset by autumnal flashes of red and yellow.” — Wendy Delsol
