Rejoice my fellow fallout fans, for our day is here! Fallout 4 has finally been announced by Bethesda studios, accompanied with an official cinematic trailer before the “world premier” at E3
Fallout 4: Release Date
Since Fallout New Vegas was released back in 2010, fans have been waiting for an announcement of Fallout 4 – and the day finally arrives. Fallout 4 has officially been announced by Bethesda via a 24 hour countdown timer on its website. Though the game has been announced, we’ve got only a 3 minute cinematic trailer to go, and while it doesn’t give a lot away gameplay, it gives us some idea of the area that the game is set in.
That being said, a number of my travel-known friends suggested that the location of Fallout 4 could be Boston, or New York State, because of the land style (mountains, hills, and plains) but the look of the industrial city gives suggestion of more Boston to New York.
Though no release date is yet known, Bethesda has confirmed that the “world premiere” of the game will take place during the Bethesda Showcase at this years E3 expo in California. Hopefully, the company will give us more information about the game itself as well as a rough estimate of when to expect its release.
Fallout 4: Platforms
This comes at no surprise, but Fallout 4 will be making its way to PlayStation 4, Xbox one, and PC. There’s no word on Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 support, but as we imagine Fallout 4 being a huge game with “next gen” graphis, we’re not holding our breath.
Fallout 4: How to watch the E3 world premiere
If you want to watch thr world premiere of Fallout 4, it will be broadcast via both Twitch and YouTube on 14 June 2015 at 7pm PST (3am in the UK) during the Bethesda Showcase at E3 in California.
Fallout 4: Speculations
Considering this is a sequel to Fallout 3, we have to expect that it’s going to be following the storyline after the Lone Wanderer has made his decisions throughout (water purifier, which characters died, etc.) and I’m wondering if there are going to be character transfers or things like that which change the factions in power at the start of the game?
What about the Enclave? Fallout 3 saw them all but wiped out, with only remnants using old technology in Fallout NV suggesting that their presence in the wastes is all but diminishing.
What really had me wondering though, was the look of the propped up t-52b Power Armor (modified) does this mean that we can customise our clothing more? Can I be the most fashionable messiah of the wasteland ever seen?
Not to mention, what of the dog we saw in the trailer? Could it be that Dogmeat got bored of the lone wanderer, and moved onto more interest and found a new best friend?
Needless to say, theres quite a bit to be excited for with Fallout 4, and I for one can’t wait to get my hands on it, as well as seeing all the hurried mods for it (on the PC of course)
