Explosion At Taiwan Water Park Injures Hundreds

A recreational water park in Taiwan was the site of turmoil today after a flammable powder apparently exploded in midair, injuring at least 472 people, 100 of which have been injured seriously.

The flames erupted around 8:30PM ET at Formosa Fun Coast, and although the fire was brought under control quickly, there were still hundreds of people who suffered injuries. The explosion was the worst mass injury incident to ever happen in Taiwan’s most populous city of New Taipei, and Mayor Eric Chu had called for ambulance support from neighbouring cities of Taipei, Taoyuan and Keelung, as well as military hospitals taking on some patients.
