According to the book, ‘Call Me Dave: The Unauthorised Biography’, authored by Lord Ashcroft and Isabel Oakeshott, Britain’s PM David Cameron allegedly committed a crude act upon the carcass of a dead pig as an initiation ceremony for the notorious Piers Gaveston Society. The unofficial biography accuses our much loved prime minister of spending time in a drug-taking environment at university, knowing about numerous offshore tax informations of his beloved university equals and taking part in the bizarre dinner club ritual.
Lord Ashcroft reported that the pig’s head was resting on the lap of a fellow Piers Galveston’s member’s lap, when the prime minister, in the words of the daily mail, “put a private part of his anatomy” into the pig’s mouth. The source of the scandal alleges that there is photographic evidence of the nauseous act; alas, the person said to own the picture did not engage in any attempts to reveal it, the daily mail reports.
The Piers Galveston is a men-only society, founded in 1977 at the University of Oxford, England. According to some, it has been described as an extreme club that hosts secret events which include large amounts of drugs and sex. According to a report by the Independent, ‘Guests – men wearing drag, women ‘hooker’ costumers – are bussed out to a secret location, often a country mansion, for an evening of bizarre rituals, drugs, pumping dancing music and sexual excess.’.
However, others have stated that the events during the 1990s were not as scandalous as the media has and is portraying. Journalist Danny Kemp attended a Peris Galveston summer ball in 1995 and admits that, “it really wasn’t very debauched / The most obvious thing is that it is meant to be raunchy fancy dress. This means a lot of people going in drag [myself included unfortunately], others in what back then looked like bondage-type gear.”.
Ashcroft is said to have an apparent bitterness toward the PM as he was overlooked for a Cabinet position. Ashcroft donated more than £8million to the conservative party, ensuring they secure two election votes. However, Mr Cameron only proposed Ashcroft a junior whip position in the Foreign Office, to which he bitterly rejected.
Cameron himself has refused to comment on any of the allegations made in the book, including that the PM smoked cannabis whilst he was studying at Oxford University. However, the PM’s spokeswoman said: “I’m not going to dignify this book by offering a comment. The author has set out his reasons for writing this book. The Prime Minister is focused on getting on with the job of running the country.”.
Whilst the PM may be cowering in number 10, users have taken to twitter to share their jokes of their bleeding heart liberal with the trending hashtag #piggate. One user tweets, “Yeah he cuts disability benefits and hates the poor but the worst thing is he never called back #piggate”. However, not everyone saw the funny side to the PM’s debauchery, claiming the whole incidence is #snoutrageous!
