“Call me Cait”

Following the Bombshell Vanity Fair cover that introduced the world to Caitlyn Jenner, E! has announced the name of the docu-series that will follow Jenner’s transition and new life as a woman: I Am Cait.

I am Cait is an eight-part, one-hour documentary series that will explore Cait’s “new normal.” Revealing how her transition affects the relationships with the people in her life, as per a press release. Yes, that means plenty of Kardashian appearances.

Caitlyn has been getting quite a bit of media attention lately, even receiving praise from President Barak Obama.

A new promo for the series shows Caitlyn applying makeup while discussing her new beginnings/ “You go through all this stuff, and you start learning the pressure that women are under all the time about their appearance.”

I Am Cait premieres on E! Sunday, July 26, at 9 p.m.

While I am happy for Caitlyn finding herself and being happy for who she truly is, I personally think that she’s getting too much attention for something that isn’t entirely the business of anybody. Thousands of people are c

oming out of the closet about their sexuality, as well as realising they’re not in the right body and changing it, but they aren’t being hailed heroes by the president of the United States.

Pardon my un-popular opinion, but when we live in a day and age fueled by tumblr SJWs making a new word for their self-diagnosed everythings, it’s become a fad to be something other than Cis-gendered, and the importance of these things happening, because there’s so many lies among the truth.

Regardless, I wish the best of luck for Caitlyn and everybody else going along the same path, as it is not an easy one.
