Blue Jays force ALDS game 4

Last night in Arlington, Texas, Canada watched as the Blue Jays forced Game 4 in the ALDS with a big 5-1 win over the Texas Rangers, easing the playoff pressure, but only marginally. The Jays will still face another must win situation today, and for the rest of their appearances in the division series.
The much needed win last night can be attributed to right handed starter Marco Estrada, and mid-season trade pickup Troy Tulowitzki.

Estrada, in his first post season start, manage to keep the Rangers scoreless for 6 1/3 innings, no doubt due to his 79 mph changeup, which only add difficulty to his cutter, four seam fastball, and curveball arsenal. Texas bug guns Mitch Moreland, Shin-Soo Choo, and Prince Fielder collectively went 0 for 12 last night.

Tulowitzki, who was picked up by the Jays in late July, managed to put of 4 RBI’s last night, including a big 3 run homer in the sixth. This was just the third post season 3 run homer in Blue Jays History. The rest of the Jays offense was a little lackluster, grounding themselves into four double plays and almost looking like they could let the Rangers squeak by. Then Tulo crushed the 3-2 pitch from Texas reliever Chi Chi Gonzalez, giving the Jays what they needed to move onto game 4

Game 4 will take place Monday, October 12 at 2:07 pm MT at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas
Blue Jays RHP R.A Dickey (11-11, 3.91 ERA will start against the Rangers’ LHP Derek Holland (4-3, 4.91 ERA).as the Rangers lead the series 2-1

Catch the game on TV on FS1 or SNET, or live stream it from MLB.com ($4.99 subscription required for all post season games, excluding World Series).
