Azealia Banks strikes again with her homophobic slurs. This time on a flight from New York to LAX, calling a male flight attendant a “f***ing f***ot”, and unfortunately for her, it’s all been caught on video.
The Delta flight landed around 1am on Tuesday and according to TMZ, Azealia tried to disembark the plane early but a French couple were blocking her path. The singer was sat in seat 6A and apparently after the French man put his hand out for Azalea to wait, went ballistic at the unsuspecting couple. According to an eyewitness, Miss Banks spat and punched the male passenger in the face before clawing at his shirt.
It was then that the flight attendant arrived and intervened, keeping hold of her bag and trying to calm Banks down. The celebrity then lost her balance, fell over and tried to reclaim her bag from the attendant; this is where the video evidence begins.
The co-pilot came out to try and resolve the situation and the police were called. Azealia left the plane, dropping her phone on the way out. Police then caught up with the singer at baggage claim and spoke with other witnesses. The French couple attacked by the star decided not to press charges as they were in the States on vacation and didn’t need the hassle. However, Banks claims that the French man actually hit her in the face, saying, “I don’t tolerate bitchassness and I don’t tolerate men putting their hands on me.”.
This is not the first time Azealia has been in hot water over her choice of words and risqué vocabulary. She used the word “f***ot” when referring to blogger Perez Hilton in a 2013 interview and has used it on various social media platforms.
Banks defended her use of the “F” word against Perez, “A faggot is not a homosexual male,” she declared. “A faggot is any male who acts like a female. There’s a BIG difference.”.
Azealia has taken to twitter…a lot…since the incident, praising her fans, ranting about the incident and even managing to promote her new album. She recently tweeted that, “I am bisexual. my brother is trans. My employees are all gay men..Nothing else to say.”, when challenged about being homophobic.
