There’s a new comedic couple in Hollywood. Congratulations are in order for Alison Brie and Dave Franco–they are engaged! Community’s Alison Brie and Now You See Me’s Dave Franco are getting married, Brie’s rep Jodi Gottlieb confirmed.
The couple is one of the most private couples in the celeb world. They hardly ever speak about their relationship in public and are rarely pictured on the red carpet together (who could blame them).
So it makes sense that they would reveal their engagement in a subtle way. The 32-year-old actress simply showed up wearing an engagement ring–a.k.a. fabulous rock–on her finger at a screening for Sleeping With Other People on Monday. According to PEOPLE, her ring is has a rose gold set with a rose-cut diamond and a diamond wave.
She and Franco, 30, have been dating since January 2012, according to E!. In 2013, the couple co-starred as an interesting couple in a Funny or Die video Dream Girl. And they were definitely adorable!
Franco’s brother and actor James Franco took to Instagram to express his excitement. “Congrats Davy and Allison!! engaged!!” he wrote in the caption under a photo of the couple. Of course, he wouldn’t be James Franco if he did not say something sarcastic or funny, so he added “I WUUUUUV YOU” with a heart.
Brie is known for her work in films such as Community, The Lego Movie, Get Hard and for her role as Trudy in the TV series Mad Men. She is also involved in several upcoming projects including How to be Single, No Stranger Than Love and Get a Job, which will appear on screen later this year and next year.
Franco is known for his roles in films such as 21 Jump Street, Now You See Me, Neighbors, Superbad and more. It looks like he has some upcoming sequels in the works as well. According to IMDb, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and Now You See Me: The Second Act will hit theaters in 2016.
So not only is the couple dealing with a huge life change, but their careers are really taking off! Congrats you two.
