Finally! Adele will be touring again after a 5 year hiatus.
In 2011, Adele was forced to cut her tour short because of a vocal chord hemorrhage. Thankfully Adele is well, and her music is better than ever.
Unfortunately, the tour will only be within Europe and the U.K. Those of us in North America, or elsewhere, will have to keep our fingers crossed.
In previous interviews and appearances, Adele had been making it seem like there wasn’t going to be a tour. Adele would mention stage fright and loneliness when the subject was pushed. She announced in a short video that she had been bluffing and was very relieved to make the announcement.
Barely out of the gates, Adele’s album has already been a great success. 25 broke the record for most albums sold in a week in the U.S. Almost 3 million copies of 25 have been sold in the U.S. alone, and 737,000 copies have been sold in the U.K.
Now let me finish this with an open letter to Adele, the Goddess:
Hello? Can you hear me? I was wondering if after all these years… you could come back to North America so I can see you live!
