Adele announces 2016 tour dates in North America

Attention Adele fans! Your dreams of seeing Adele perform her newest hit Hello and more are coming true!

The 27-year-old Grammy winner announced Monday that she will be returning to North America in 2016 on her first tour in five years. Her North American tour will kick off in St. Paul, Minn. on July 5 and end in Mexico City on Nov. 15.

Tickets go on sale Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. local time, according to Adele’s official website.

When Adele was on tour in 2011, several of her concerts were canceled and postponed because she was suffering from laryngitis, a chest infection and a vocal cord hemorrhage. The hemorrhage led to surgery and eventually forced the Set Fire to the Rain singer to cancel 16 shows in the U.K. and the U.S. But she’s healthy now and ready to share her amazing music with the world in person!

Adele told Rolling Stone in November that she was giving herself until Christmas to decide if she was going to go back out on tour, E! News reports. “When I’ve sat down and thought, ‘What can I do to bring something new to the table?’ It was just like, ‘Tour.’ Because I haven’t done it properly,” she said.

But, the threat of throat problems remains. “If my throat goes, then I’ll never be able to do a tour again,” she admitted. “I’ll be able to get my throat fixed again and do studio work, but do I want to do something and then fail at it and be too scared to ever try it again?”

Adele’s show will feature tracks from her No.1 album 25, which dropped last month and went on to sell 3 million copies in one week, and more.

Her most recent performance was at the Radio City Music Hall, Adele Live in New York City, will air on NBC Monday, Dec. 14 at 10 p.m. ET.
